Students will practice finding prepositions, their objects, and whole prepositional phrases. The functions of prepositional phrases as adjectives or adverbs will be examined as well. Appositives are also introduced.
Chapter 8 Objectives:
• Analyze sentences to identify and correctly punctuate prepositional, adjectival, adverbial, and appositive phrases. • Revise sentences to correct misplaced modifiers. • Create stylistically strong sentences using phrases to expand or contract writing.
