Understanding the use of pronouns as either subjects or objects is the focus of this chapter. Students will distinguish between singular and plural pronouns as well as identify the functions of pronouns as subjects, direct objects, or objects of the preposition. Compound structures are also examined, and proper pronoun-antecedent agreement is emphasized. Other topics include possessive nouns and pronouns, reflexive pronouns as objects, and homophones.
