Adjectives and Adverbs

Overview

Students review adjectives and their positions. Students learn what a determiner is, and practice classifying determiners as articles, possessives, demonstratives, interrogatives, or indefinites. Modifying nouns and proper adjectives are also examined. Students review adverbs and their forms and learn what a qualifier is. Students also practice comparative and superlative forms for both adjectives and adverbs. A new skill that students will learn is identifying misplaced and two-way modifiers.
