This chapter explores the proportions of corresponding measures in similar figures. After proportions are reviewed and similar figures are defined, the AA Similarity Postulate and SSS and SAS Similarity Theorems for triangles are presented and applied. The Right Triangle Altitude Theorem and its geometric mean corollaries are examined. Proportional partitions are investigated. Corresponding lengths, areas, and volumes of similar figures are presented before a survey of the lengths of intersecting chords and secant and tangent segments.
