Overview

Students review dependent clauses, identifying them as adjective, adverb, or noun clauses. Students apply their knowledge of clause structure to identifying sentences as simple, compound, complex, or compound-complex. A review of sentence errors is also included, reminding students to avoid comma splices, fragments, and fused sentences in their writing.
