Overview

Students review independent and dependent clauses and learn to identify dependent clauses as adjective, adverb, or noun clauses. Knowledge of clauses leads to a study of sentence structure, and students identify sentences as simple, compound, complex, or compound-complex. Serious errors are also reviewed, with students practicing how to avoid common errors such as fragments, comma splices, and fused sentences.
